The Papilio armchair recalls the butterflies in flight. Its design recreates an armchair that would welcome gracefully, the same grace of the movement of a butterfly. It is characterized by the sinuous shape of the seat, with the aim of offering maximum comfort to who sit there. Aesthetics was not the priority of the designer, Fukasawa, but at the same time the unique design of these armchairs is given by the wings of the butterfly that extend at the sides of the chair emphasise the sensation of comfortn the chair and the small armchair, they help support the hips and the back. The same spirit of simplicity, immediacy and comfort have guided the functional development of all the products of the Papilio series: the Grande Papilio and Piccola Papilio armchairs, the Papilio and Mini Papilio chairs, the Love Papilio sofa and the Papilio bed. In both versions the wings have a fundamental role: in the Grande Papilio they protect the head of those who sit there, in the Piccola Papilio they support their back and give life to a seat that meets all the needs of the comfot. The shape is like a truncated cone, and there is a zip on the rear of the backrest.
